AceReverb Privacy Policy

AceReverb is a browser extension that applies audio effects (slowed+reverb, nightcore, bass boost, speed control) to audio and video content on websites. This privacy policy explains how we handle user data.

Data Collection

Specifically, we do NOT collect:

• Personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
• Browsing history or web activity
• Audio or video content
• Website content
• Location data
• Financial information
• Any other personal data

Local Storage Only

The extension stores your preferences (custom presets, audio settings) locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. This data:

• Never leaves your device (except for Chrome's optional sync feature between your own devices)
• Is not accessible to us or any third party
• Can be deleted at any time by removing the extension

Audio Processing

All audio processing happens entirely within your browser using the Web Audio API. No audio data is recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.

Permissions

The extension requires certain permissions to function:

• activeTab: To access media elements on the current tab when you click the extension
• scripting: To inject the audio processing code into web pages
• storage: To save your preferences locally on your device

These permissions are used solely for the extension's core functionality and are the minimum required.

Third Parties

We do not:

• Share any data with third parties
• Use analytics or tracking services
• Include any advertising
• Make any external network requests

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date above.
